Uber executive resigns as company investigates allegations of sexism
An Uber executive has resigned after an anonymous email notified investigators and media outlets that he had sexual contact with another Uber employee.
Uber’s vice president of growth, Ed Baker, has stepped down. Baker is the first high-ranking employee to leave the embattled company since it began its own investigation into allegations of sexism and harassment within Uber’s ranks.
There’s no public evidence that Baker’s resignation is directly tied to the investigation, but Recode reported that an employee of Uber anonymously notified Arianna Huffington—who’s helping oversee the investigation—of Baker’s actions. Read more…More about Business, Uber, and Business
